SIMPLE TO APPLY
Shut down the line, glove up, then clean and roughen the damaged area with a file or wire brush.
Knead the Steel Putty to a uniform grey and press it firmly into the damage. Work within 2–5 minutes.
Soak the bandage in fresh 22–26°C water for 10–20 seconds, squeezing once or twice to activate.
Wrap around the damage, extending 50mm each side, pulling every layer tight for a strong repair.
With wet gloves, squeeze with a rotating motion until the resin stops foaming. Sets rock-hard in ~30 minutes.

Both the bandage and Steel Putty comply with Australian Standard AS/NZS 4020:2018 for products in contact with drinking water.
Proof pressure tested to 725 psi (5,000 kPa) on 50mm poly pipe, and to 1,810 psi (12,500 kPa) on 25mm poly pipe — each with a 10mm drilled hole. Ratings vary with pipe type and damage.
Thermal analysis testing established a continuous temperature limit of 150°C, with intermittent exposure withstood up to 250°C.
